Tips
- When travelling, include all factors; cost, convenience, speed.
- When travelling from Sukhumvit to the old city centre it may be fastest by boat.
- The cost of taking a highway may seem high sometimes, but beware that you will not only save time, but may also save money as it's not very economical stopping and pulling up for a traffic light every 5 minutes, especially in rush hour.

- Keep up to date with local news. Altough Thailand is a very safe country to travel, beware of the current politial situation and also check when there are national holidays. These events may seriously disrupt your travel plans.

Tips
- When you are in Phuket, take a daytour to Phang Nga Bay, it has very beautiful rock formations.
- If you plan on going to the great Phi Phi islands, stay at a resort on the back of the island, away from the tourist town, it's much more relaxed.
